The Smartphone can be charged with a laser

Modern technology will allow in the future to charge smartphones with a directed laser beam, giving up constantly-confusing wires and lost chargers. Engineers from the University of Technology in Washington managed to implement the technology of laser charging gadgets. In the laboratory, scientists attached a special receiver to the battery cover of the smartphone, capable of capturing the laser beam and transferring its energy to the main battery. Metal plates are attached to the smartphone cover for the heat sink.

In the future, technology will be able to achieve that the speed of charging of mobile devices will be comparable with a conventional wired charger.
