Apple offers to implement electronic passports in their devices
- AIn the middle of spring the American company patented the technology of creating electronic passports on the basis of its branded smartphones. And all the necessary blocks and nodes for the implementation of this idea are already available in current smartphone models, and the only thing that causes complexity is the development of software.
Apple engineers claim that the passports are likely to work similarly to Apple Pay - all data will be located on a secure chip, and some of them will be displayed on the external device when the identity is confirmed by one or more identification systems.
At the same time, it is by no means a fact that the patent will be realized - not everyone so blindly trusts the technology, even with the logo of the bitten apple.
