ARM is preparing to switch to a 5-nm process technology

-
Recently, the company ARM said that their new core Cortex-A76 will be available in two versions - at 10-nm and 7-nm process technology, while the clock frequency will reach 3.3 GHz.

However, the manufacturer does not intend to dwell on this. According to the press service of ARM, next year it is expected to release devices based on updated cores, which will give about a 15-percent increase in productivity. But this is not all, the next step is a smooth transition in 2020 to a 5-nm process technology.

According to ARM technologists, the 5-nm cores released in 2020 will at least double the performance of 16-nm cores produced last year at least two and a half times.
