Qualcomm introduced the technology of wireless audio transmission

The new codec apaptX Adaptive automatically adjusts the sound quality depending on the speed of the Internet, external conditions and the type of content. The algorithm of audio compression is based on variable bitrate - if the Bluetooth connection is good and the user listens to the music without distraction, then the best quality audio files with high bit rate will be sent to him, if there are several wireless signals, the codec will compress the audio files more.
Bitrate of the codec starts at 280 kbit/s and ends at 420 Kbps, demonstrating high sound quality with improved compression.
Apparently, the codec will be used in Android 9 Pie and gadgets, working on the basis of Qualcomm chips.
