Virus resistant to reinstalling Windows

-
Antivirus organization ESET published a report in which it told about a new virus that was discovered by experts. The malware is so deeply embedded in the system that it can easily survive the reinstallation of the operating system. Moreover, replacing the hard drive also does not save in this situation.
The creation of the tiny LoJax virus is attributed by some experts to the Russian special services, its use is industrial espionage. The virus is embedded in UEFI and is almost invisible to most antivirus programs. The only way to protect against it is the Secure Boot protocol, which verifies the digital signatures of the system components and detects a virus during the scan.
