Sony halves smartphone markets

-
Over the past few years, sales of Sony smartphones worldwide have inevitably declined, increasing the losses of the Japanese company. In order to resolve the situation and get out of a steep dive, the concern’s management decided to “curtail” its presence in a number of regions, remaining only in those markets where the company's mobile devices are popular and in demand.
So it became known that in the near future, Sony products will cease to be sold in South America, Africa, India and the Middle East, and all emphasis will be placed on the markets of Europe, Taiwan, Hong Kong and, of course, the local Japanese market. This step should return to the smartphone former profitability.
Earlier, the Japanese company reorganized, combining several different industries into one unit, in particular the design of smartphones, image processing, sound recording and the creation of entertainment content.
