Google is testing a new file sharing Fast Share
- AReplacing the Android Beam, which, as we know, will not be supported in Android 10 Q, the American corporation has prepared a new file sharing service, which will be the Fast Share option.
According to the information provided by the resource “9to5google”, the option will have a lot in common with AirDrop, which is successfully used in macOS and iOS. The functionality will allow you to transfer almost any information to another device located nearby, even in the absence of an Internet connection, using only active GPS and Bluetooth. The ability to transfer using the new option will appear in the Share context menu.
Interestingly, the transfer of information can be carried out not only between Android-devices, but also, perhaps, between devices running on other platforms. At least in the screenshots, you can see the mention of the iPhone and Chromebook.
