Samsung closes the last smartphone factory in China

-
South Korean Samsung announced the closure of the only factory that produced branded smartphones in the Middle Kingdom. Huizhou production line will be closed before the end of October. This factory has been producing Samsung mobile devices for almost 30 years.
The main reason for this decision of the South Korean corporation, of course, are low sales. Samsung is considered the undisputed leader in the global mobile industry, but in China, the company's market share barely reaches one percent, devastatingly losing the influence to local manufacturers. But six years ago, the company's share amounted to at least one fifth of all smartphones sold in China.
Earlier, two Samsung smartphone factories were operating in the Middle Kingdom, the first of them in Tianjin was closed at the beginning of last winter, the second in Huizhou will close within a few weeks.
