Xiaomi has patented unusual options for the location of the front cameras

After the advent of fashion for frameless screens, smartphone manufacturers come up with more and more new ways to successfully place front-ends. So, someone decides to place the front camera in the opening of the screen, someone in the teardrop-shaped cutout, and someone uses a traveling mechanism with a camera. Xiaomi engineers thought about a new option for placing the front camera and just in case, they patented the four received options.

According to the patent application, it is proposed to place the front camera lenses along the edges of the upper frame with various design variations. Of course, the approval of the patent application does not mean that the company is about to begin production of smartphones with this camera arrangement. Nevertheless, this gives an understanding of the possible development of smartphone production.
