US government strikes Huawei again
- ARelations between the USA and China are obviously not friendly. The US government has once again extended sanctions against a number of Chinese companies, which, in his opinion, threaten the country's security. One such company is Huawei.
In particular, the US Department of Commerce obliged foreign firms manufacturing chips on machine tools and US technologies to obtain a license to work with Huawei. This means that the Chinese manufacturer will not be able to count on TSMC and other world leading chip makers.
In turn, China plans to respond to U.S. government sanctions and include some U.S. companies among the unreliable, initiating inspections and imposing restrictions. Apple, Qualcomm, Cisco and Boeing may be subject to counter-sanctions, which could end up with huge losses to the United States.
