Introduced Snapdragon 690 budget processor with 5G support
- AOn the eve of Qualcomm presented another novelty. The new chip does not belong to the category of top, however, it will allow using all the advantages of new communication networks in budget models of smartphones.
Snapdragon 690 will be the first processor of the 600th line with a 5G modem. Performed on an 8nm process, the chip will provide an increase in power of about 20% and almost 60% increase in graphics, compared to its predecessor Snapdragon 675. The chip is equipped with a Snapdragon X51 modem that works with new generation networks at frequencies not exceeding 6 GHz. The new chip supports Wi-Fi 6, Full HD+ resolution and recording video as 30 fps 4K.
The chip will be used in new smartphones Motorola, HMD Global, LG.
