Spotify reaches 300 million active users
- AThe Swedish streaming service for listening to Spotify music is gradually gaining momentum. Two weeks ago, it was launched in Russia, among other countries. Thanks to this, the number of active users of the service has increased significantly and reached 300 million today.
For the most part, users of the service are still Americans and Europeans. According to the latest quarterly report, the company earned almost 1.9 billion euros during the reporting period: advertising contracts brought about 7 percent - 131 million, the rest of the money brought paid subscriptions - to date they are more than 138 million.
The management of Spotify does not hide its satisfaction with the launch of the service in Russia, the number of Russian users in just one week was more than one million, overtaking India in terms of growth rate.
