A new type of virus that can bypass two-factor authentication has been detected

-
Many people recommend two-factor authentication as a means with almost 100% protection against attackers, but it turns out that this option of protection does not guarantee complete security. Specialists of the company Check Point a few days ago said that they have identified malware for the Android operating system, allowing you to steal disposable codes.

The virus is built in such a way that intercepts the authorization codes of the infected device, starting with a combination of signs "G-" (Google sends its one-time passwords just in this form). In addition, the malware easily steals the victim's confidential data, is able to turn on the microphone and intercept messages from any messengers and social networks.

According to experts, the virus can be contained in any program from Google Play, as well as distributed on the Web.
