Samsung introduced the 5-nanometer flagship Exynos 2100 processor
- AThe first 5-nanometer representative in the line of Samsung processors appeared Exynos 2100. According to the South Korean manufacturer, the new product is at least a third more powerful than its predecessor Exynos 990.
The chip consists of three types of cores: four economical Cortex-A55, three main Cortex-A78 and productive Cortex-X1. The 5-nanometer technology process by which the chip was manufactured, allowed to reduce its power consumption by 20 percent.
Thanks to the use of ARM Mali-G78 graphics, the chipmaker was able to achieve a 40 percent increase in productivity. For the work with artificial intelligence is now responsible for the latest 3-core neural processor, which is able to carry out 26 trillion calculations per second. This is roughly twice the capability of the Exynos 990 neural processor.
The chip supports LPDDR5-class RAM and UFS 2.1 and UFS 3.1 storage, as well as 8K-quality shooting and a 200-megapixel camera.
