Qualcomm unveiled an improved version of the Snapdragon 888 processor
- AAt MWC 2021 developer Qualcomm showed the maximum version of the processor Snapdragon 888, adding the particle Plus to the name. Despite the similar architecture to the basic version, the new chip will be able to demonstrate a good increase in performance.
The chipset, as before, consists of a powerful core Cortex-X1, four economical Cortex-A55, three fast Cortex-A78 and video Adreno 660. However, the clock frequency of the main core this time has been improved by 5.5 percent and is now 2.99 GHz instead of 2.84. Another improvement concerns the artificial intelligence gas pedal. By using the latest version of the gas pedal, its performance has increased by 20 percent and is now 32 trillion operations per second.
New smartphones based on the improved chipset should appear in the third quarter of this year.
