Google prepares app store ranking based on device type and region

Often, users choose a particular app based on people's reviews. However, these reviews are not always objective. In different regions an application can have great functionality, in some regions it is very popular and in other regions users are not interested at all. To avoid this, Google decided to introduce a local rating.

Thanks to the innovation, applications' rating will be formed due to users' assessments from the same region, which will add objectivity and free users from the difficult choice of the local application rating.
In addition, the company plans to launch a rating for different types of mobile devices, which will more accurately identify the usefulness of a particular application for each specific device.

Google will inform developers about sudden changes in the rating of a software product, which will allow them to promptly make changes.
