Developers advise against rushing to put MIUI 12.5 on Android 12
- AXiaomi has started tests of MIUI 12.5 on Android 12, opening up access to the new build to the Redmi K40 and Mi 11 models. The first results of the analysis are rather sad - MIUI 12.5 on Android 12 performs significantly worse than on Android 11.
At the moment, the Chinese company is solving two problems at once: first, it is necessary to port the build 12.5 to the new OS, and secondly, it is necessary to develop MIUI 13. Unfortunately, the performance of MIUI 12.5 on Android 12 is not particularly impressive yet. According to one of the developers of the build, there is no need to rush to upgrade to it, as serious problems were found in the stability of the system and its performance, as well as some other bugs were identified.
As for the release date of MIUI 13, we do not have long to wait. According to the head of Xiaomi Lei Jun, the firmware will be announced at the end of this year.
