Chinese manufacturer first introduced folding smartphone
- AThe other day, the little-known brand Rouyu Technology introduced the world's first folding smartphone, ahead of such "whales" as LG and Samsung. And FlexPai, that is the name of the flexible gadget, is already available for pre-order. The basic version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM will cost 1290 dollars, the average version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of ROM will cost 1,435 dollars and, finally, the most powerful version with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of ROM will cost 1,865 dollars. The first deliveries of the gadget are expected next month.
The smartphone runs on a not yet announced Snapdragon 8150 processor and is equipped with a 7.8-inch folding AMOLED screen. The device is equipped with 16 and 20-megapixel cameras, supports the simultaneous use of two SIM-cards. When folded, the device interface automatically adjusts to work in smartphone mode, and when unfolded, in tablet mode.
The Chinese company promises that the hinged device of the smartphone will withstand at least 200,000 folding cycles.
