OPPO, Xiaomi and Vivo start developing wireless file transfer

-
The ability to transfer files over Wi-Fi from one mobile device to another was implemented by Apple 8 years ago, but on Android devices, because of the open source code, this was very problematic. But everything can change in the near future.
The largest Chinese mobile market players OPPO, Xiaomi and Vivo have created an alliance whose goal is to develop the ability to directly transfer files from one smartphone to another, using only the Android operating system and not using third-party programs. According to rumors, the file transfer rate will be up to 20 Mbit per second.
Since OPPO, Xiaomi and Vivo in total control about half of the market for mobile devices in the Middle Kingdom, their union can be very beneficial both for the companies themselves and for users of these brands. In addition, if the development is successful, other companies, in particular Huawei, may join the alliance.
