Xiaomi blocks Google services on its smartphones for the Chinese market
- AIn light of the tense relations between Beijing and Washington, Google services in China have long been considered forbidden. With the release of the updated version MIUI 12.5, owners of smartphones made specifically for the Middle Kingdom are no longer able to use Google services.
Xiaomi did not specify a list of smartphone models, which will be sold in the domestic market without pre-installed Google apps and the ability to install them, however, it is reported that they include a 5G version of the Redmi 10X and K30 Ultra.
However, we would like to note that the above-mentioned restrictions work only for models that will be used in the domestic market of China, smartphone owners in other regions will be able to install on their devices as before and use all Google services and applications.
