Qualcomm tests the Snapdragon 888 Pro
- ATo date, the Snapdragon 888 is the most powerful mobile processor, and manufacturers use it in their flagship models. But progress does not stand still and it became known that the chipmaker is actively testing a special Pro-version of the processor.
According to GizChina, the updated chip will be supplied to local smartphone manufacturers. The tentative release of new devices based on the Pro-version of the processor is expected in the second half of this year.
What exactly the characteristics of the updated chip will differ from the original version is not known yet, but, as a rule, in the maximum version manufacturers overclock the central processor. Apparently, the new chip will be produced by TSMC.
