Google tightens requirements for Play Market developers
- AIn order for an app to appear on Google Play, developers will now have to meet a number of requirements that were recently adopted by Google. The company wants to get rid of everything extraneous in the design of the applications, so as not to distract and mislead users.
Under the new rules, app names should be limited to 30 characters, there should be no stop words like "today only" and "free", as well as expressions of superiority, such as "best translator" and "first shooter. CapsLock is also banned, except for brand names. All screenshots must exactly replicate the actual images.
The guidelines go into effect in a couple of months, so developers have time to get the apps up to date. Otherwise, the app won't show up as recommended.
