Google has warned of ending support for the mobile version of Android Auto

-
Support for the mobile version of Android Auto will be discontinued in the near future. This was announced by Google, noting that a special mode for drivers will appear in Google Assistant. The application will remain only in cars in which it is a standard feature.

Talks about stopping the support of the mobile version began two years ago, but at that time Google Assistant did not have the appropriate functionality. Now such functionality has finally appeared, and the option will become a separate section of the personal assistant.
"Mobile driving with Google Assistant is the next step in our evolution. Users who use a smartphone will appreciate the driving mode in Google Assistant, while those with Android Auto installed in their cars will use it as before," the company said in a statement.

Note that the beta version of Android 12 does not let you open the Android Auto app, the user is invited to evaluate the new Google Assistant mode.
